Understanding People and Organization †MyAssignmenthelp.com

Question: Discuss about the Understanding People and Organization. Answer: Realization on the Results of the self-assessment I have realized this that I try to mingle with all the people around me in a very friendly and a nice way. However, I often do not remember to keep a control over the frequent outbursts of emotion. I know that I can easily work on this and improve myself. There are many instances when I faced many difficulties in behaving properly with the people around me, including my peers, relatives, family members and my colleagues as well. I am often very over critical and sensitive to the kinds of behavior and emotions that I sense around me. However, I have realized this that whenever there is a huge pressure on me, I do not end up managing things properly. However, I also realize that this has a bad effect on the people around me and often they are hurt or are irritated by my behavior. This is really harmful to both my personal and my professional life as well. Being in the hospitality sector as a supervisor I have to be leading a huge team of so many different workers. I am at a very import ant charge and I have to maintain my mood in a very organized way. However, there is often a huge pressure on me and I cannot really keep my cool. This often makes me angry and I behave with my subordinates in a very angry manner. This creates a negative impression about me on my subordinates and the tourists staying in the hotel as well. Lessons from the Results of the self-assessment I have learned that my EQ is slightly above than average. This shows that I am not ignorant about my areas of weakness. I know that I get affected by the emotions of people around me in a very deep way. I often suffer from the problem of hesitation and lack of transparency a well. I often take a step back and do not really open up. I have to keep in mind that I am a maintenance supervisor in a hotel and I have to have a proper control over my feelings, attitude, and behavior. I try to adjust to the feelings and demands of my teammates or the guests at the hotel but I often overlook my own needs. Often there is a huge pressure on me and I am unable to cope up with it but I do not open up about this to my seniors. I feel that this will create a bad impression of my seniors on me. I see some of the teammates are becoming unruly and are not obeying the rules of the hotel. I such cases I usually do not take any step or I am not really able to apply any strictness over them. This altogethe r hampers the quality of service and I also get frustrated. I must work on these areas and try to open up with people regarding any needs or any difficulties that I face. I must not keep my complaints hidden within myself. If I am facing a huge pressure, I must tell it to my seniors and take a short leave so that I can refresh myself. I must not restrict myself from opening up about my emotional needs. If I am not stable emotionally I will not be able to properly supervise and coordinate such a large hotel maintenance group. Understanding the theoretical concepts from the module I have to consider other theoretical concepts like an evaluation of the situations that particularly creates stress for me. I have to make understand the minds of thoughts that keep on hovering in my mind in such situations. Using such methods will help me handle my emotions properly and I will also be increasing my emotional intelligence. This will perhaps help me to manage my emotions properly and will also help me to manage myself in a very organized and effective manner. If I know that I often get frustrated and lose my temper under very high pressure and it results in an angry outburst. This, in turn, hampers my work as I make many mistakes and also behave rudely with my teammates. I will henceforth talk about this freely with my seniors so that they allow me to take a small break and refresh my mind. I will also talk with my teammates openly regarding any faults or errors seen on their part. This will help me to avoid such situations that make me angry or emotionally depressed. Becoming more efficient in my work and organizing my mood in a proper way will be helpful. This will help me to guide and supervise all the maintenance team of the hotel. All the visitors staying in the hotel will also be happy to get a good and hospitable behavior. Self-assessment as a media of bringing in change in the professional practice The emotional practice helps in understanding the different aspects of the communication needs in order to make the people aware of the feelings and the emotions that might challenge the senses of the individual. The score that is retrieved from the self evaluation process has helped in determining the personality type and thereby helps in determining the opportunities and the challenges that might be faced in the professional field. I have to evaluate the kinds of emotions that these situations usually trigger in me and how can I overcome them. I also have to find out means that will help me to calm myself in such high-pressure moments. Therefore, in the future, I will be taking steps in order to develop the different aspects of the communication skills in order to communicate with the people in the professional field.
